Aunt Rose treated us to a new microwave!

This is a 700 watt unit and has a stripe of stainless steel on the top and bottom. Will go with the new fridge nicely. Should also be plenty of popcorn for those movie nights and quick reheats!

We picked up a Magic Chef Fridge on sale!

We realized that the fridge in the Scotty also worked great as a cooler when electric was not available.

Those blue ice containers froozen helped keep the fridge cold. The insulation was much better than a camping cooler.

This Magic Chef compact fridge finally went on sale and it has a totally separate freezer section.

Hopefully this is another great addition to the cargo travel trailer!

5 week wait for new trailer

With my order placed I have a 5 week wait until it's ready. I'll start building the bunks and dinette seating area in the garage.

Also ordered an electric flush porta potti and another smoke color vent cover.

I had a vent cover left over so I think the trailer will look cool with it's light grey color for the body and two smoke colored roof vent covers. Just like the Scotty roof these covers will allow the vent to be open while towing or in camp even if it's raining.

Teardrop and Scotty to leave this week!

It will be bitter sweet to see the trailers leave but it puts me that much closer to now getting my new cargo trailer ordered.

I'll take my time this next week and make blue prints of where everything needs to go since it's being built to my specs. It will be built and picked up in Elkhart, Indiana.

Options on this trailer are almost as much as the cost of just the trailer but the rv door, pull out steps, porch light,windows,wall/ceiling insulation, full electric( including 110Volt and 12V)and all receptacles and light placement are a way of speeding up the final process of being ready to camp this June.

Look for my cargo travel trailer on a highway near you!

Rear wall with screen

This is an idea that could really be nice in good weather. I'm building a half wall to just above the dining table height. I'm hoping the lady who made the Scotty awning might be able to create something like the pictures: a back wall of sunbrella material with two large screens or one large screen. The screens would let in a lot of extra air for the dinnette/lower bed area and would also extend up for some fresh air at the bunk levels.

Bad weather = close the back flaps.
Real bad weather = close the back barn doors of the cargo trailer!

Elkhart trip worth the stop over!

It was worth a night stop over in Elkhart to visit with several trailer dealers in person.

Even though Trailershowroom.com answered all my questions via the phone and email they did not want me to stop in Elkhart to view any trailers. Personally meeting dealers made me feel confident about what they offered and I have decided to place my order with Trailers Midwest.

Not only was Steve great about answering all my questions but he patiently waited as I looked over trailers on the lot. He was able to match several competitors in pricing, especially in windows, and overall I felt the Stealth Liberty cargo trailer is a solid trailer and worth the money. The one piece roof, LED lights, radial tires and Steve's patience sealed the deal. Once the old trailers are gone and my floor plan layout is complete I'll be calling Steve with my new trailer order!!!!!!

Trailer Specs include the following standard features:
ALL TUBULAR STEEL FRAME
3500 LB DEXTER SPRING AXLE(S)
BRAKE AXLES
EZ-LUBE HUBS
15" Radial TIRES .080 ROOF WRAPS
ALUMINUM TREAD-PLATE FENDERS
2" COUPLER ON SA 7 WAY PLUG, breakaway kit and battery
3/4" RAINBLOCK FLOOR (WATER-PROOF)
SIDE DOOR ALUMINUM FRAMED (32" on 6' - 36" on 7')
SIDE DOOR PULL HANDLE
16" ON CENTER WALL POSTS TUBE STEEL
--- YOUR CHOICE---
3/8" PLYWOOD WALL LINER or WHITE VINYL WALL LINER
1 PIECE ALUMINUM ROOF
.030 ALUMINUM EXTERIOR
24" FRONT GRAVEL GUARD
DOUBLE REAR DOORS WITH CAM LOCK
(2) INTERIOR LIGHTS WITH WALL SWITCH
DOT LED LIGHTING AND SAFETY EQUIPMENT
ROUND TOP WITH FIBERGLASS FRONT CAP
SCORPION SPRAYED TONGUE
SCORPION SPRAYED REAR SILL
LIMITED 5 YEAR WARRANTY

I'm still adding an rv door with screen, steps, porch light, grab handle, awning rail and at least 2 windows. Also I will add serval cargo doors. One on each side under the dinnette seating and one up higher so the ac(on top of a cabinet) can slide out when needed.

Let the fun begin

Both the Scotty and teardrop have been sold. The Scotty went to Kentucky and the teardrop went to Maryland!

I'll miss them but I am ready to continue my next camping adventure..............converting a cargo trailer into a travel trailer!
